Bleeding air from cooling system, can't seem to get it 93 civic 1.6
I have tried everything! All i get is steam from the bleeder valve,or purge valve.Only steam from the overflow tube also.Gauge goes to the red but fan doesnt turn on. New head and gasket set.New water pump amd timing belt.
ive tried to get it hot and let the car suck in the coolant than add more.about 2 gallons in so far and just a misty squirt from the bleeder, mostly just hot steam bottom raditator hose getting hot so i belive thermostat is opening.

Have you done a compression test? It almost sounds like you are pushing combustion gases into the coolant passages.
