check your local emissions laws

from my understanding, cali smog laws are some of the strictist out there so probably not.

if you do decided to go through emissions with diagnosing the problem there are a few things you can do to aid the chances of you passing. i KNOW that if you kinda beat on the car a little and get that cats hot, you have a better chance of passing (cats work better when hot)

i've HEARD that if you put some type of alcohol mixed in with your gas it makes the car bern extremely clean. what type of alcohol idk, but i've read it in several places that it helps.

they also sell at many autoparts stores some type of solution that you car put in your gas that helps better your chances of passing. as a matter of fact, your local wal-mart probably sells it.

hope that helped :-D
