Thanks for sharing , if you had searched, there was a major debate between this header and a few others a little while back.

Yep, that header means serious business. Expensive but does the job better than most SOHC aftermarket headers.

i thought it was only 500. I honestly think its worth the money if you are going for an all motor d series. Considering a usual aftermarket header costs half that and probably only makes half the power. Seems to be worth the money for me. You pay twice as much, but get twice as much power

you're not serious are you? The merge collector alone is probably close to $200. Cutting and welding a header like that is not easy either.

I don't know if the Bisimoto merge collector option uses a Burn's collector, but if they do, its $250-$300 retail. http://www.burnsstainless.com/....html

that motor is stock, if I remember correctly. 8whp gain on a stock motor, with a big tube race header, with no power loses at all, and solid gains all the way to fuel cut is not bad at all.

The dyno says the Z6 also has an intake and muffler. Not sure how much those contributed over stock, though. Regardless, the Bisimotor header is ******* badass for a D-series.

I don't understand what point you are trying to make though. Do you have a business liscense, and a source for cnc flanges, collectors and tubing, jigs, and welding skills? Research and development and marketing?

There's no point in relating the cost of building something to the cost of selling it.

yea, you're right, I didnt notice. I think the "modified" z6 header they used to compare the bisi header was worth a few hp itself, so that makes the bisi header even more impressive.

$589 without the jet-hot coating. Worth the extra $120 IMO. Heat retention and corrosion protection ownz.

I know this is tested on a gsr motor not a d series, but you can get a pretty general idea as to what each header could give you.

many are quick to Judge on the price, but compare the Bisimoto header to other brands such as Hytech and SMSP. Those I believe are a bit more.
You can't really compare the quality and performance these 3 brands to headers such as DC Sports or Kamikaze, etc.
SMSP, Hytech, and Bisimoto Eng. are in its own class.

These headers are not for everyone. Its for the serious racer who needs every bit of power they can get out of the motor.

And also, it is true that Bisimoto Header does use a Burns collector. that itself already retails $150-200.

Again, these headers are not for everyone. They are for the Serious enthusiast such as Road Racers who are limited to bolt ons and minor engine modif. THe Bisimoto design gives that few HP advantage over their competitors who may just be using an off the shelf DC header. AT that level, a gain of 2-3hp here, another 2-3 hp somewhere else, can add up to a significant amount over other racers.

and here's a pic of what a Burns collector is: and please dont say, that the same thing can be done with 4 pieces of pipe LOL

These retail for about $250-300 from Burns. Wholesale price? lets say 20% off, still comes out to about $200-250 Wholesale.
If you guys are surprised about how much Burns collectors are. the ones used in Top Fuel styel cars are almost $1000 just for a collector!
