go with the b16a2, all this talk about vtec and not likeing boost isn't really ****. Mod for mod the b16a2 will give you higher HP numbers. so for the same price you would be stupid not to go with the b16a2.
try going into the FI foruma nd doing some searching and looking around. these people saying this and that about the LS being boost freindly is bull **** both motors like boost the same amount. and the b16a2's compresion being alil higher will not give you problems unless you are gona run upwards of 400hp. but you can't to that on a stock block.
B16A2 will give you MORE HP for the same mod

agreed. i think that when built correctly and with proper air cooling, a higher compression engien will be great under a turbo. all you want lower compression for is to prevent detonation right? well, get a better intercooler by all means correct me if i'm wrong, but i would go with a b16. though i would probably use the longer gears of an ls. cause if you are mad boosting, you dont wantt o shift every half second.
b18b would be easier, b16 would be better.

Re: (phantom_sol)
the b16 will put down more hp on the same amount off boost. it also depends on the turbo you plan to run. the b16 will take a little longer to spool the same turbo than a b18 will, but the b16 makes power to almost 8k where the b18b starts dying off arount 5500 and is dead by 6500.
if you have driven both you will know. the b18 will feel like it gets up and goes quicker, but the b16 will continue to pull well past the b18b. it really all depends on the turbo you plan on running.

Re: (GERM)
Get the b16, it's a no brainer. You'll have VTEC plus it'll be a lot higher resale value if you get rid of the motor. If you want a LS just go to the junkyard and take one for less than a 1000. Compression...who cares. With the B16 you'll have more power because of VTEC which means you can run lower boost. They both have great rods and strokes so they'll both handle the same amount of HP. Only thing that sucks is you'll have less torque in the B16. Not sure about you but in a turbo motor you're not going to get any traction anyways so torque is useless. Turbo cars are good for highway rolls and runs, which means you'll want top end HP which = B16
