What is the best way to get rid of the road noise in a 99 civic? Sounds stupid but my car inside going 55 down the road makes my car hear everything on the road.

sound damping material like dynamat? or some noise canceling spray might help you out.

dyno mat. used to reduce vibrations and keep audio sound inside car. super heavy tho. def not something if u wanna go fast

dynomat is good, but you might want to search around here. there was a thread like this not to long ago. i think Eran posted a link to something similar to dynomat but lighter.

I heard of dynomat, was think of getting it acually but now that you guys said that its super heavy i dunno. My car is slow as it is, i thought maybe you could just do something simple.

shocks won't make it quieter, just more comfortable &lt;--- Not sure if that's a word

You may want to find out what exactly it is that is causing the noise. Maybe there is damage somewhere that should be repaired? my 0.02

I highly recomend sparying your wheel wells with ruberrized undercoating... it drastically reduces road noise...

I used bquite sound deadening in mine and it's heavy but not rediculous... it's like having a passenger with you all the time.. I think I used like 140lbs I can't remember...

But even if it's 200 it's worth it to me... MUCH quiter than stock. sounds more solid when you close the doors/trunk etc...

and also most of the weight is on the floorboards which is "good" weight...

The Spray coating isn't going to add much weight at all and really does help a ton... I did it in the front and not in the rear at first and you could hear the contrast WAY more than I thought you'd be able to.

Dont drive it kidding.. uneven worn tires can cause horrible road noise as well... not sure if your car has always made the noise or not, if not read above post

its the same as dynamat but seriously much cheaper (maybe a a bit less effective but who cares)
It comes self-adhisive and not...so read before you buy.

I used that, one layer, on my rear wheel wells and parts of my 1/4 panels and it made a very noticable difference.

Everyone says "smells like tar" and it does...for a day or so. Leave the windows down for awhile and no problem</TD></TR></TABLE>

i read this and it says "applied via spray method" what would we use to spray it? would it be done best if we got a paid professional to do it? and where exactly does it apply? inside behind panels? or outside along entire underbody/fenderwells etc?
