Best sway bars for 97 Civic hatch
I have a 97 Civic Dx hatchback, with no front or rear sway bars. Who makes the best sway bars for the 96 up Civic hatch? ITR? Si?

for the front go with a 99-00 si coupe its 26mm, for the rear 22mm ITR combo....
these are one of the better setups...will require, LCAs and complete bars with hardware...
the above setup is the same as JDM CTR, so you can't go wrong with that...

The ITR bar is also 26mm by the way, but the best I think to go with is the SI because it is for your generation Civic. U would have to use the SI endlinks and stuff.

I don't know what your plans are for, but for me (autoXing in the future):
22mm ex front (plan to get)
22mm mugen rear (sitting in my room)
I've put the mugen on, but took it off due to some bending brakets. If i had the money though, i would get the 22mm Comptech rear sway/tie combo.

If I go with the 00 Si front bars will I also have to get the Si knuckles, and front LCA's? I use to have the suspension techniques sway bar kit.............that is until it almost tore out my entire rear crossmember beam I want something that fits and won't tear out

If it's possible get a Civic Type R rear swaybar instead of an Integra Type R rear swaybar, or even a Civic specific Mugen rear swaybar. The reason is because even though ITR and CTR has the same diameter (22mm), there are enough differences that will make an ITR rear swaybar much harder to put on. Trust me, I've been there, done that.

Bend the exhaust hanger so the pipe sits higher.

on the install at overboost.com that they did on my car, we didnt really have to take off the exhaust, but we just did it to make it easier to work on the car

Re: Best sway bars for 97 Civic hatch (ek9hatch)
thanks for the info...I was just wondering...I measured the distance between the muffler and the control arm and I still had about 4 inches. Do you think this is enough? I realize I can bend the hanger but am wondering if the sway bar will fit anyway.

Damn. That sucks. I just recently purchased that bar and hadn't had an opportunity to install it yet. What kind of exhaust do you have??? I wonder if there is any type of fix for this problem.
