best sounding honda! and its mine of course :D
was looking for a exhaust for my 9 while it was of the road having a b18c fitted . i came across something called yahoo auctions which you can bid on like a japanese version of ebay. i just typed in ek9 and this 5zigen exhaust came up which was pretty cheap and bought it. when it arrived there was a jasma plack whelded on the rear can that had RACE USE ONLY wrote on it. its called a border 304 speed
YouTube - EK9?5ZIGEN BORDER 304 SPEED
this is a link to a video the seller sent me by email of what it sounded like!
im guessing its only a sound clip as you could get in trouble for a video of those speeds?
i love the noise and mines even louder than this what do you guys think
his car was stock with only the exhaust. my car has a b18, aem cai, manifold and de-cat.

I love how you call your EK9 a "9". Actually? What is it some sort of gun? and BTW I don't like the tone at all. And probably the worst shifting I have ever heard. What is that agonizing sound inbetween shifts? I thought maybe it was a little tire chirp but it's every gear. Lastly, how would you know what most people "go" for in Japan? Do you represent the entire tuner nation of Japan? Didn't think so....

Personally, I would hate to have this on my DD. However if I had a weekend warrior I would enjoy that exhaust greatly. I think that although loud, that is a proper racing exhaust, but not for the street

Can't say I like it. I like a nice quiet stock exhaust. There are better things to listen to than exhaust noise imo.
I also get migraines and exhaust like this kills me sometimes.
Oh, and this is a tech section btw. This would probably belong better in Appearance / Cosmetic or GDD (where you will probably be eaten alive).

border.. its the one that looks similar to spoon n1 right? but little fatter and shorter at the tip.
My friend has this on his EK and sounds much quiter than that. But nonetheless very bold and deep sound. I loved it.

thats ok man all these people giving you crap about whats hot in japan and yet none of them even know either. I call it the " JDM BANDWAGON". Do what you like cause in the end thats all that matters and if you think that it sounds that bada$$ then thats all you need. I personally think it sounds pretty cool so you get my approval... not that you need it but there it is.

here in the uk there is **** loads of jdm cars as we drive on the same side of the road. before the world got messed up with all the banks etc the £ was really strong and could buy jdm cars well cheap your equivelent to like $4000 for a jdm dc2 mint condition. so people impoted loads of cars like ek9's and dc2's skylines the lot for really cheap.
all the cars are usually modified and despite the money thats been spent on them in parts the car is cheaper . my ek9 came with zeal function coilovers a b16b thats been stroked to a 1800 mugen airbox mugen manifold mugen exhaust volk ce28 wheels a spoon lsd etc:
im just saying all the majority of hondas you see imported in my country usually have a stupid loud exhaust :D

I'd get annoyed if i was driving around with an exhaust that loud everyday. But would love to drive with it on the weekend. I like it, it's a got a nice sound.
If you don't mind driving with a loud exhaust everyday then I say go for it. Like I said, it sounds nice
