the jdm d16a sohc vtec is similar to the d16z6. probably only difference is about 10hp which i'm not sure where its produce. maybe internals move easier due to better lube but they are both about the same. d16a6 is a completely different motor. goods about the jdm d16a is rare, you can proove to people they do exsist. haah other than that its pretty much the same as the d16z6.

z6 is the way to go... y8's suck ***... i had a z6 one time 2 years ago.. my radiator was bad and clogged up.. so my motor would over heat all the time.. but kepton goin... drove to moreno valley once for a dentist appointment.. on the way home it was overheating.. lets just say about 20 miles with it pegged in the red.. got home..
had mad rod knock and she kept running until it threw a rod out the front of the block.. guess what.... kept running on 3 cylinders.. z6 is the ****** ****

oh ya.. also u can put a y8 manifold on a z6 i have one on mine.. it fits nice.. just use the y8 fuel rail.. z6 will not work

take ur y8 to 8800 and tell me it doesnt blow... my z6 spins up that high with no problems for 10thousand miles also the motor has about 270,000 miles on it.. fok y8's...
foken y8 valvesprings probably wont even support more than 8500 my friends float at 8300 with a z6 bottom end.. y8's ****
