Best size tire for 15x7 wheel? Slightly lowered Civic.
I am going to be buying a set of 15x7 wheels. What is the best sized tire for this wheel if the car is slightly lowered (not slammed). I am considering Eibach ProKit or something similar.

215/50/15's would be a slight bit taller taller than 205/50/15's. This can be fine on a lowered car, but make sure you don't have so much play in the suspension to cause rubbing when you hit large bumps.
You also have to consider the overall affect this has on the drive ratio of the car. For example, replacing a set of 225/50/15's with 195/45/15's achieves roughly the same effect as replacing a 4.4 final drive with a 4.785.
Wider tires also negatively affect gas milage. Though technically "all" else being equal a wider tire offers less rolling resistance, it also creates more aerodynamic turbulence, which can outweight any rolling resistance benefits, and it's virtually impossible to find a scenario where "all" else is truly equal.
Wider tires also require more effort to steer, and though they have to potential to grip better, turn in response can suffer without proper suspension and proper alignment settings. Then you have to issue of price and availability, etc, etc, etc...
I would shop for a 195/50/15 or a 205/50/15.
