Default Which is the best seafoam method, and are there any risks?

So this next week I'm planing on doing quite a bit of work to my car. I'm changing the motor mounts, axles, oil, tranny fluid, and some other stuff. Anyways, I was reading some info on cleaning out the motor as well and came across some seafoam threads. I found out how to do it from this site http://www.diyimports.com/seafoamprint.html
I was wondering if I should do all three of the methods: brake booster, crank case and gas tank? Or would that be overkill and might risk hydrolocking my motor. I was also wondering is this stuff hazardous to my motors health? I want my car to run clean and strong, but I cant afford to put more money into it right now incase something does happen. From what I understand if I do it correctly and don't put too much in at once, I shoudn't have any problems. Any info would help, THANKS

how many miles on it?

i would do it : 2/3 bottle through the gas tank, and 1/3 bottle to brake booster (vaccum hose which goes into the throttle body).

Follow the directions on the can....1/3 booster, 1/3 tank, 1/3 oil cap

If you put it through the booster slowly, it will be fine...you will need to pull the throttle cable though
It can be bad if your engine has a **** load of miles and a **** load of crud in it..because the crud can act as seals - breaking them could cause leaking.

Use at your own risk

The motor (B16) has around 50k on it. When I do it through the gas tank and oil cap, do I leave the car running as well?

I did 1/3 of each. HELLA smoked bad when I poured it through the brake booster line and gave it a slight rev. It caused 2 of my spark plugs to go bad, so I just replaced them. Everythings fine now. Make sure to change your oil afterwards cause it thins it out.

If the motor's in good condition there won't be any problems. A friend of mine just bought a car with a H22 in it. He seafoamed it through the brake booster and then he went for a hard drive. He ended up throwing a road bearing.

The motor was in bad shape when he bought it and the seafoam loosened up carbon, which clogged up his oil pump/feed (something oil related) and he ended up throwing a rod bearing.

lol sea foams not the reason for throwing a rod. if you dont over kill nothing bad will happen. just remember if you have a lot of carbon build up in your motor it might smoke and burn oil for a while untill it builds up again. i poured almost a full bottle in my 84 toyota supra it already burned oil but i think it made it worse. becasue now 6 months later it doesnt even burn a quart between oil changes. use to burn 5 quarts between oil changes. but remember sea foam is suppose to be good
