Default best place to get a 96+ D series motor?

so i've been looking around all day with almost no luck ... just wondering if anyone could give me some direction as to where i could find a 96+ D series motor in good shape.

junk yards are so taxed, i called 2 and they each wanted over a grand for a D series lol

Local forums? Find someone who is interested in a motor swap and talk to them about working something out... Should be easy. Look in local junk yards, pick-n-pull places... Look around at collision places for civics that have been rear ended, you can buy the whole car and part it out - pay for your swap that way. Hopefully this information will lead you somewhere.
