please? axleback? or should i get a quite A$$ muffler and weld it on? wouldnt that be more expensive?

I just found one for 15 bucks. It was off of a VX hatch. Are you just looking for a stock substitute or are you wanting one for better "performance". An axelback will add about nothing just in case your curious.

Its exactly what it sounds like... a section of your exhaust and runs from the rear axel...back.

i already have a cat back exhaust, but the muffler is SOOOO EFFING loud, its garbage. I want a stock sounding muffler that will bolt up to a 2.5"

just get a custom exhaust and be done with it.
