no, they dont always have problems, you've been talking to people who dont know how to swap an engine properly, or take care of it. an engine should last just as long, no matter what chassis its in.

b18 is pretty good motor... its a very fast motor and easy wired job then the H22, H22 deal with alot of wireings... depends n the mechanical.. some wll screwed your electrical problem, but if they know what their doing then its fine... H22 is a very strong motor... My friend runs an automatic CRX with H22 with CRV block... runs 10second... 1/4 miles.

heres the deal if you want strait up quarter mile mayhem then go for the h22 but if you like turning(like i do) then a b-series would be better the wieght of the h22 requires alot of suspension upgrades if its going to compete with a b-series in the corners. My personal preferance is a jdm b18c boosted I mean talk about fast and functional well hope that helped just my .02 good luck and don't worry bout problems just get some help from someone who is expierenced.

oh jesus christ here we go again, the h22 only weighs 25 pounds more than a b18. and the engine leans back, more towards the center of the car

hey sorry to upset you, Im just speaking from what I have learned I drove my friends h22 then a b18 and I definetely felt a difference in the two the h22 seemed like it wanted to just keep going straight the b18 felt fine. Also I said Im big into cornering so needless to say Im **** when it comes to stuff like that.

im just saying that there really arent "suspension issues" with the h22 swap as compared to the b18. i wasnt trying to tell you what to like better, i was just pointing out the thing about the weight/handling/suspension stuff

B16 swap is the best. Throw some basic bolt on and crap on every one. If its not an Si then all you have to do is wire up the VTEC and its not that hard. Make sure to get a good clutch, your nothing without a good clutch. You can have the fastest honda in the world and not go any where if your slippin.
