Best headlights for HID
I am finishing up the body and paintwork to my car, and I need new headlights because one of the brackets is cracked. Any recommendations for which headlights would work the best for HID's. I would like to get them in the future, so since I need the headlights now, I might as well get whatever it is that I will need in the future.
I have heard that for obvious reasons (Civic's don't come factory with HID), the stock headlight assemblies don't work the best. Any aftermarket or JDM that would work better. I have heard projector, but I don't care for them so much.
Thanks for your help!

Re: Best headlights for HID (Padawan)
So, I wouldn't actually have the projector "look" if I retro them in that way? I have read many posts on "aftermarket HID's vs. retro," but not too many on which housings work the best. Thanks for the response.

Re: Best headlights for HID (noTe)
Not what I wanted to hear. Are you sure about that? Oh well. Maybe if I paint the housings black it won't look so bad? The body work on my car is subtle, so I want to keep everything else the same way as well.
Thanks for your help so far. Now I just need to figure out which HID's to get. Maybe I can find something out of a wrecked Beemer or something.

Re: Best headlights for HID (dgrave)
I am trying to do everything to my car from now on, so having someone else do it is out of the question. The only reason that [i]anyone[i/] else touched my car was because I didn't have a second car. Now that I have my truck, down time is not a problem. Thanks for the advice I will definitely check that out.
