Best header for OEM B16A2
Hey guys!
Im looking for a header for B16A2 ek4 civic.
My exhaust system is a skunk2 megapower catback (60mm)
My friend said, that skunk2 alpha header’s tube is a little bit big.
He said, that the tube that comes out from the cylinder direct should be maxx. 42mm. Skunk2 alpha is 45mm.
My engine is oem, so not the biggest exhaust is the best.
Any suggestions?
Sorry for my english, Im from Hungary.

I have "heard" that most OEM intakes and headers flow better than pretty much any aftermarket pieces out there. That being said, it depends on your power goals. If your goal is not to build a full-on, ***** to the wall race car, don't waste you time. Just my opinion.

Hey!
What do you think about oem integra dc2 type r header?
My oem vti ek4 header is a little bit rusty, and it looks not so nice, stainless steel header will be good for the design.

Hey!
I would like a 4-2-1 and I dont know my goals exactly.
I dont want the peak hp, because this would be a holiday, hobby car, not a racecar. I want the highest quality header for max. 650 dollars!
My friend said, that the skunk2 is too big, I will lose toque with it.
I dont want to buy a cheap one, because Im afraid they have poor quality.

What about getting this:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/PLM-Tri-Y-S....c100677.m4598
And then taking the $350 you have left over to have that header professionally ceramic coated in/out and making a custom test pipe/high flow cat or resonated mid section to connect the header to the cat back, as these are full length headers (longer than stock headers).

In for this
I’ve noticed that on a lot of the rep headers, the o2 sensor bung sometimes is on the wrong side of the header. Even on plm’s. But out of all the rmf reps which one would work best on a b16?
Im conflicted, I just want a 4-2-1 header with good ground clearance, reasonable price and the o2 bung in the right direction, for the lil b16.

The OE exhaust manifold is fine for a stock motor and is of high quality.
Clean it up and paint it, and/or get a new heat shield.
Spending up to $650 on some shiny pipes that don't really DO anything is not money well spent.

Re: Best header for OEM B16A2
Get an oem EK9 exhaust manifold lower pipe (the 2-1 section). They are 2.5” at the outlet, and a great upgrade for the stock b16a2 manifold.
