Best Fuel Pump from Rock 99 Civic
So I need to replace my fuel pump on my 1999 Civic EX. It's a daily driver with no mods. What's the best pump brand? Rockauto has a large selection. Thanks in advance.

The OE ones had no manufacturer markings on them, but I'm 90% sure were Denso. 9500111 is the one you want:

Make sure to replace the strainer while you're in there, and get a fresh fuel filter after a day or two in case you stirred up any debris. You shouldn't have any debris in the tank/lines, but it's never a bad idea on an old car.

I ordered the Denso from Rock Auto and it does come with the strainer. Rock also indicated that the filter should also be changed. They have really good customer service. The rep also confirmed that Denso was the OEM for the Honda pump.

Just make sure to wait a day or two of driving before changing the fuel filter after the pump. That way you don't throw all that garbage into a new filter, instead goes out with the old filter.

Correct, sometimes the stock regulator will have issues bleeding off the extra volume. Fuel pumps are, in my opinion, one of those things you don't upgrade unless you need to.
