I have the 22mm teg front w/ ES endlinks and D bushings. 24mm(type r) rear with factory endlinks (soon to go) and ES D bushings. I would like to swap out my front bar for a 24mm(gsr) .. I like the setup very much as it is. . It's a swift one around the corners! http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emcocktl.gif

Huh, 24mm ITR bar? You mean 22mm ITR rear bar (or 23mm JDM ITR rear bar)

As for what's best...... What are you mostly doing? Auto-X, street, drag, combo...?

I personally have a ITR 24mm front, and 22mm rear. Good handling, but a bit of oversteer. (I don't mind) I think I'm going to upgrade to 26mm front from the SI with the stamped steel LCA's in the near future.

A combo of AutoX and street - I only have the stock front bar - no rear - looking (of course) for the best of both worlds. - Also run lightweight 15" wheels and Bridgestone SO3's!

I read somewhere that you can use 94-01 integra (GSR) bars on the 5th gen civic but that you have to use the mounting hardware from the integra.

I have the Progress 22mm for Civic and I'm NOT happy. If I was going to do it over again, ITR/Beaks is the ONLY way to go.

Keep your stock Si front.

Are the factory sway bars better than Suspension techniques?? Like how does the GSR front sway compare to the Susp. Tech.??? Just wondering is it better to find sway bars from like a gsr or itr or just buy the susp. tech. ones????

That is very true. And it all bolts up to the Civic chassis. This would be a great starting point for you if you have nothing and can get it cheap.

Yes, STOCK is 1000000x better than ST. ST can blow monkeynuts. Sorry, ugh, now I feel better.

Stock bars mount to the proper locations, without using ghetto brackets, and extenders.

GSR - ITR are the same front bar. 24mm
GSR rear - 13mm
ITR rear - 22mm

Can someone post pics of their front swaybar and how it hooks up? I believe the endlinks are much different than what I'm used to (99 Si)

thanks

what parts from a 99-00 si do i need to convert my 5g cx (no stock bar)? can anyone give me a COMPLETE list? how much should i expect to pay?

Re: Best front/rear sway bar for 5th gen Hatch (clemens)

I plan on going with the Beaks EG/DC "Quick-Swap" Anti-Sway Bar Kit on my 5th gen DX hatch. Do i need to get control arms from another car for the back? Or does the kit take care of that?

What front swaybar should I go with. Mostly street, but I want to get into autocross eventually. Should I just get a Civic Si front bar? from a 92-95 Si or from a 99-00 Si..

You need the front LCA's and sway bar.

If you get it from a junkyard, just get everything you can (bushings, nuts, bolts, etc...) Should run around $200 complete.

Re: Best front/rear sway bar for 5th gen Hatch (MaxBoost)

As I recall from a bud that works at a junk yard that 'all' (need help here) 92-95 EX coupes have rear sway bars - and that all integras (94 and up) have the rear control arms with the holes predrilled for the rear sway bar.

95cx 05-09-2002 08:36 AM

Re: Best front/rear sway bar for 5th gen Hatch (93CivicSI)

why not just use the control arms from the civic that you took the sway bar off?????

Car was already trashed - Sway bar was laying in the mud! - I will scavenge one sooner or later

okay, i need your help here. you said all i needed was the lca's and the bar but the forks dont fit the lca's. the si's lca's are wider than the cx's. another problem is that the brackets wont go all the way in to their position. does this setup really work for 5g's? if anyone knows about this please help me out, im stuck.

Re: Best front/rear sway bar for 5th gen Hatch (clemens)

i know for a fact that to run the si front sway bar you need: sway bar, LCA's, Shock forks, D brackets and bushings. Fitment on a 5th gen i don't know about.
