2.25" to 2.5" would be fine. Anything more than that is excessive. I recommend just picking up an Apexi Ws2 cat back. It is the best cat back for a daily driven car period. Not very loud, grunts nicely when you get on it and it has proven gains... You can get them for pretty cheap in the marketplace...

That's what I was thinking but wasn't sure. I have boughten a lot of
Crap for my car that's in the 300 to 400 range and ended up dissapointed.
I guess I would have to take my chances again. I'm probably going spend the same anyways.

What about a es tuning muffler thats 2.5 and a megan racing resonator and 2.5
Piping. I'm really on a budget, I also have a clutch thats taking a crap on me. Anybody
Have any input on this setup or can suggest something that worked for them? I am still
Pondering buying a full catback. I got some pricing and it not to inviting. If I have to I will
Buy a apexi noir ws2.

I vote on the WS2. Im debating on the Vibrant stealth for my EM1 as well. I currently have a Greddy EVO II and love it but am curious for a new note. My friend has a WS2 on his d15z1 eg and it is suhweet. If you're still in doubt, youtube it

I would go for a jdm 1 peice itr header,jdm itr cat,itr b-pipe and +06 rsx-s muffler,

great tone, great back pressure, stock look, cheap and all are oem honda!

I bet all of the above can be had for about 500 bucks and will yield some extra hp,great sound along with a nice tone when your WOT!

Yeah but from what he posted it sounds like his current exhaust is falling apart (welcome to Honda) so it would take him a while to acquire all of those parts...

i recommend stock... or 2.25 max. and just any 2.25 inlet/outlet higher flowing muffler (just more then stock and it already is cause it would be a 2.25 muffler)

i got my muffler at advanced auto. looks stock sounds quiet till i hit vtec. i bought a midsection i believe its an old school world sport midsection with res. and i had my shop make me an axle back.

really it sounds soo nice. i get compliments from all sides of the car world. even guys that hate imports dig it cause its not riced at all.

justttt my opinion though

That is my setup except i have the apexi N1 muffler (used for 30 bucks!) whole header back cost me 110 dollars with 2.25".

It is a bit raspy but you may look into a high flow cat.

that clutch should cost more that 100 bucks for an exedy stage one.

what size piping does the ws2 use? and what should i order it for? i dont
want the same thing happening with the exhaust like my tein super streets.
i ordered some super streets for my eh under a dc cuz tein didnt make them for the us civic
i was mad cuz the spring rate was too high or least it felt like it. i dont want to have to cut anything if
i order one for a dc and chop or order for a eg and have too much back pressure. sorry if i sound paranoid but its good to ask questions before i spend my hard earned money. i hope this clears things up for people wanting to buy an exhaust.

The WS2 is 60mm which is ~2.36" which will be fine for a stock or mildly modified GSR motor. Always get the exhaust for your car and not the motor...

I agree.. 2.25" is perfect for a street set-up. 2.5" if you go with more aggressive performance parts.
Best quality bang for your buck exhaust system would be the Apexi WS2 than the Greddy SP2. Both real good quality quiet exhausts with great great quality.

When I first bought my hatch It pretty much had a straight pipe setup ...disgusting bro, too loud even for those who like that kind of thing. I went with the WS2 and absolutely love it, you don't want to be getting all sorts of negative attention especially from law enforcement and your neighbors will also love you for it. lol
