best engine swap
I have searched all over and the only thing that turns up is tons of things I could spend hours looking for. I have a 94 dx coupe and am looking for some more power. I here that if I want to turbo I should stay with a SOHC, but I have really began to like the b16a DOHC. I am wondering why I should stay with a SOHC if I want to turbo I why I shouldn't turbo a DOHC. Thanks for any help

Re: best engine swap (drew102)
people would say that because you could either build your d-series with sleeves & forged internals and turbo that OR swap to a b-series and turbo that for the same money. The built d would be faster than the B. But if you have the money a built B-series block with turbo is the way to go.

Re: best engine swap (drew102)
a b-series motor is a good platform to start out with. i have a b16 on my civic and pretty happy with its performance so far. if i were you, i'd get a b18....a little more torque. my b16 feels just like my old d16, but at higher rpm it's way better. it's up to you.

Re: best engine swap (jaedaEG)
Well like I said I am PLANNING on spending lots of money, my money levels now aren't to great. So where could I get a b18 and how much money would I be looking at spending. Also what are the hp levels and torque levels of that engine?
