I'd stay cheap.
Either go turbo-D series on stock internals or throw a B series in there.
If you got the money - GSR makes a very good daily driver.
I'm not fond of the B16's unless they're boosted
H22's are good if you find the complete car - buying a swap on an H22 (like hmotorsonline.com) is overpriced therefore in my opinion useless.
I'm not much into B20's - but they make okay engines :-\
The K series is too high for anything normal.
The ITR and CTR are okay motors, but not enough bang for the buck IMO, as a daily driver you're probably better off going with a GSR.
LS are nice motors, 142flywheel hp and since it's 1.8L they've got more tq. A lot of tq. actually, rivals that of the GSR I do believe (forgot actual numbers).
You can buy a totaled 'teg for like 200 bux and it has EVERYTHING you need to do EVERY part of a B-series swap, so you can basically get like an LS complete changeover swap for like 200.
Only thing I recommend is buying a B16 (if you don't drive on the highway that often) or GSR tranny b/c the LS tranny has very low gear ratios (for those who are going to argue, low gear ratios = long transmission. A higher gear ratio is a lower gear ).
Oh well, that's the basics, hope that helps some.
Have a budget and any HP goals?
