Re: Best Clutch? (redexchris)
I recommend the disk, p/p, and bearings. My ACT hdss will hold the nitrous and never slip . Gotta love the street strip disk, smooth.

You can get a Clutch masters stage 5 for around $250.
Ok, you can get an Exedy for a very good price. They will last forever under heavy abuse. They won't hold as much as a CM or ACT(IMO) but they last a long time.

Re: Best Clutch? (Trial User)
youre going to be hardpressed to find a clutch and pressure plate for 200$, i ordered an Action for 295$, ive heard good things.
you might just want to get an organinc stock style disk and use your existing pressure plate, that will be really inexpensive.

For daily driving with about STOCK pedal pressure I gotta say ACT HD PP with 6 puck disk... If you don't mind a heavier pedal or need additional clamping force then go up to the ACT Xtreme or Maxx Xtreme (Albert, B18C1EKhb rolls his Maxx Xtreme in his N/A B18C/EJ6) Some people bitch that it's too hard to drive and you get too much chatter but all it takes is a little getting used to... If you wanna hold back a lot of power, TILTON... That's what all of our turbo cars roll... Clutchmaster Good Luck, Peace

I asked this same question a while ago and all the responses I got were ACT all the way.So thats what I went with.I got the 6 puck, xtreme pp, and 12lb enlightened flywheel.Yes it has a heavy pedal and it chatters from time to time but I love the **** out of it.I woould'nt go with anything else.

I'm running the RPS. I don't know why nobody else uses one or even talks about them for that matter. I have the MAX series pressure plate with street disc and it kicks ***. Never slips, engages smooth, and pedal pressure is awesome. I went to the track last fri. night and blew out the diff in my trans when I tried to launch. That thing really blew. There was a hole in the trans from it. Luckily for the track officials, no oil leaked out.

Re: (mrcch)
Centerforce gets a big from me. Everyone I've seen who makes a little power and has this clutch, the thing slips on them. I know a guy who sheered 2 out of 4 pucks right off of that piece of garbage.

I'm Running a Exedy 3 puck sprung hub stage two. I Paid $290.00 Best clutch I've ever had and my girlfriend can drive it to so its pretty street worthy. But it grips hard so it race worthy too.

Re: Best Clutch? (redexchris)
I don't know why people are hating on Clutch Masters? I have their Stage 1 & Lightweight flywheel, and I'm very happy with it and would recomend it to anyone. I think it is important to not excede any of the manufactures load ratings. Because, I've seen a lot of people ask entirely to much out of their clutch. And when it goes, they start saying how it is **** when it's not the clutches fault that the user didn't do their research. So, figure out your goal, and if it's daily driven all motor, I think any of the manufactures stage 1's would hold up ok.

i agree i have the clutchmasters fx100 clutch and the clutch feels like stock and grips like crazy. i literally beat the **** out of the clutch when i am at the track which is like almost every wed night and it still grabs like when i first bought it. for 200 i paid for it isnt bad either.
clutchmasters gets a in my book
