You can put a D16Z6 engine and transmission in your car and remain in the same class (EP) if I remember correctly. Putting a cam in your engine will bump you into modified, gain you maybe 2hp and make you the laughing stock of the M3's and Porsches that play there.
Don't put a cam in your 1.5L engine. It's just not worth it.

If you don't do a whole z6 swap, at least swap the tranny. The Si gearing is more agressive than what you currently have.

In that case, Gude makes a good one . Seriously though, it's not going to make much of a difference. You'll get a much better result and have a much better platform if you just switch to a Z6. The cam will net you power only with tuning, and after that is said and done, you'll have spent enough to buy the swap
Just something to think about.

that i didn't think of, but if i was going to do that, i might at well throw a flywheel and clutch in it as well?

the only reason i dont want to do a swap it cause it would be awsome to beat people with only running this motor, and i would rather built and race, than swap. i like to see progress, and what i can do with stock motors. I used to do a lot with atv's, but cars seam to be a lot more safe, and i can't afford to get hurt on an atv anymore.

i am in sm, because of suspension, swaybars, tires. and then the most rediculous part of all is because i have no back seats, and taking a whole 16 pounds or so out bumps you into sm

As far as I know, you can remove however much of whatever you want and remain in EP. At least you can here in Ohio...

Re: best cam to put it stock 94 civic hatch. (scuzz)
not for the scca though, otherwise i'd be set. and every run i take is within 9 thousands of each other at the same track, so i have found the limits for my car. maybe it will be that way in pheonix as well, cause i am moving there in 2 weeks
