'Best' aftermarket headers, turbo and intake manifold?
OK, first I just want to thank the people that answered my last post, I would have thanked you before, but I used up my 5 posts within my first 24 hour period
I just want to know who makes the best turbos, headers and intakes.
And by 'best', well, some of you might have different opinions, so let's hear 'em!
Let us also assume that this would be for a 1.6 DOHC VTEC.
-Thanks again!

IMO,
Header (DOHC only uses one)- JUN, TODA, SPOON, or Mugen
Turbo- Garret T3, or T3/T4 hybrid with ball bearings.
Intake manifold- JDM ITR with a with JDM ITR TB, & AEM CAI
Again thats just my opinion.

If you go turbo you dont need headers. They dont work together. as far as the turbo DRAG or GReady have pretty good kits if you'r looking for more power go custom (mix and match).
best headers any jdm make (because of the bigger collecter) type-r, mugen , spoon, feels, whatever.
Intakes (another thing you dont need with a turbo) are all about the same go with iceman or aem CAI there probably the ones you'll get the most gains from.

This is a noob question! Why do you want to know who makes the best headers and the best turbos makes no sense. What are you going to take a jdm header and turn it into a turbo exhaust manifold?

um, pride??? well, except for the dancing letters guy (which was f***** hilarious), the other one is correct, what the hell do you want to know about headers and intakes(other than filters) for if you are going turbo, or about turbos if you are going all-motor. Revise your subject if you want a decent answer, or narrow it down. Ask about turbo setups, or all-motor setups.

he might go either way all-motor or with a turbo set up maybe was just curious. he was just asking a question that is what this forum is for right?

For a header, I'd get the JDM ITR. I like it because people have shown it to perform pretty well, and you can still cover it with the heat shield for the stock look.
For intake, I'd agree that AEM is the way to go.
As far as turbos go, I know there is a way you can get a 10% on a full turbo kit for a civic with a transplanted B-series motor. It comes with everything you need. You can check it out here: http://www.importparts.com/honda-tech.html
HTH!

http://www.importreview.com has lots of dynos as well. I mean, just use the search function first, and you can avoid all the newbie stuff. And dont say it doesnt work because I absolutely SUCK at the search and I can find useful stuff usually.

Re: 'Best' aftermarket headers, turbo and intake manifold? (IntegD)
i think that the trendie *** t3-14 turbo is a nice one, but most of the guys out there run this turbo at like 7-12 lbs of boost when it is DESIGNED for 40-50 lbs of boost. therefore just get a smaller turbo like 20g or something and then run it at 12lbs and youll most likley dominate. due to the faster spool of the smaller turbo... then, if you n/a get a nice old 4-1 header.. and a 2.25 catback.

How much smaller is a 20G turbo than a T3/T4? I've seen both and can tell you the 20G is HUGE....T3/T4's a big but I don't think bigger, plus they'll bolt to the common T3 flange.

okay, if you have a trubo, then no intake (well, obvious) but you would LEAVE the stock header?

Re: 'Best' aftermarket headers, turbo and intake manifold? (The Quick Mick)
turbo: garrett t3/t04 - it will flow enough.... mmm mmmm vtec turbo
manafold- i like the drag manafold
headers: forced induction kamakazi and for you money... i HATE to say it but the JDM DC is nice but if you want a crazy high reving all motor monster mugen will do u fine!
BTW with a turbo u need a ummm TURBO manafold ya thats it!

Re: 'Best' aftermarket headers, turbo and intake manifold? (The Quick Mick)
Well, you cant ask WHATS THE BEST because it matters as to what application you're running. But i guess we're supposed to assume turbo ? In that case you might want to re-consider using the same HEADER (NOT HEADERS, do joo own a v6?) the best, to start off with, would be a 2.5 inch collecter header.
This is N/A, here:

sorry if what i said is just a re-post i didnt read the other threads.

WITH A TURBO...YOU USE A TURBO EXHAUST MANIFOLD...THERE IS NO HEADER INVOLVED AT ALL.....NOT A STOCK ONE, NOT AN AFTERMARKET ONE. THE TURBO MANIFOLD REPLACES THE GO*DAMN HEADER!!!!!!!!!!

Re: 'Best' aftermarket headers, turbo and intake manifold? (ziich)
Be prepared for another newbie question....here goes....
So with a Turbo, do you need to lower your compression? Is there any other engine prep involved or do you just bascially buy a turbo kit and slap it on?
