Bent my volks! Can they be repaired??
I was driving down cicero ave regular speed around 30-35 mph when all of a sudden out of no where a giant section about 12' by 12' cutout and about 2 inches deep , i stop and look for damage just as my eyes start tearing 4 te-37's all bent, windshield cracked, and no bumper and a fucked up alignment. so the cops come and i make a report and i claim the city for 2500$ in repairs, just wondering if these wheels can be straightened out or do i need new ones and a name of any trusted shops in the chicagoland area.

Good luck man. I am crazy paranoid driving around western MA. Any vehicle damage done to your car in MA is yoru responsibility. The only thing the state or town will pay for is bodily damage to a person. Good luck.

Damn, that sucks, those are expensive **** wheels. At least you have a report blaming the city. Those wheels are worth more then 500 bucks, so i'd suggest since you're going to wind up filling an insurance report out anyway, since that's a ton of money you're going to wind up spending to get all that stuff fixed, that you claim the wheels as well, and get a new set. Or at least new wheels for the ones that were focked.

Forget fixing them man just get the city to buy new ones. That **** happened to me a long time ago, you accually sue the company's insurance that is contracted to fix the road, I got new rims paint and a new window out of it at no cost to me. you can get the info from the city and they will tell you who they are and then if you get your insurance on it they can sue there insurance for your claim and your deductable and it doesnt count against you.

Oh man, that sucks. Sorry to hear that. Truthfully, I wouldn't get them fixed unless you just really wanted to. With the TE37's being made the way they are they might not even be fixable depending on the damage. Too bad you aren't in Texas. We have a wheel company down here that re-does all of discount's wheels and/or personal wheels that have been damaged. I have seen torn up racing hart's go in there with cracks, bends, etc and come out brand new. And on top of it all, the delivery people who pick up the wheels from you and drop them off are two cute *** girlies But its $110 a wheel

there's a shitload of places here in socal to get 'em repaired but normally with volk rims once they're damaged, they can't be repaired...i've had 3 friends with volks. They all bent their rims and they had to get new rims after that...stay away from volk rims...not much chance in repairing them

The rims are not bent that bad, either way though if you decide to go with those rota grids hit me up Jack, I'll get you a good price.

this company is one of a few in the country that will probobly be able to fix them...
Search google for:
"wheel repair"+"metallurgy"
If a rim repair place doesn't take into account the metallurgy of the wheel fixing them isn't really doing anything but cosmetic...
Frankly I think you'll need new wheels... who cares the state will pay for it.

Re: (citrEK)
Well i guess there is some good news to tell you guys, i took all 4 wheels to a place called wheels of america, i was surprised to see how much the guy actually knew about these wheels comparing to some of the other places i have been, He said that they will be able to fix them but its going to be really hard especially with the color of the polished lip, but he said that he is going to try and work around that and make it as good as possible, got a message today from him that he was really surprised on how soft the metal was and he needs to order some special sand blasting compound or something like that so its going to be a couple more days before its all done. So ill let everyone know how it turned out the repair is costing me 500$ for all 4 wheels
