Default Before I order Koni yellows

Before I spend $500 on these, got a question.

where it says they have adjustable spring seats for adjustable ride heights, will I be able to use this to lower my car more without having to cut my springs or get a different set?

The springs are eibach sportlines

Are you ordering the koni shocks with springs or koni shocks with ground control coilovers?

The adjustable sleeves are for ride height, and so you can corner weight it.

Ones for stock height and the other is for lowering about an inch more.

i dont think you can run just a spring with konis... you will need the coil sleeve perch type for them to fit.

Hmm, if the konis wont work with just springs is there another setup you can reccommend that will lower my car about another inch? I think the sportlines are around a 1.6 inch drop, so im wanting around 2.5-3 inch

Edit: I have around $600 to spend

The Koni's work exactly the same way your OEM shocks work. It's a direct replacement, so yes they will work with just springs.

The lower spring perches are not to be used with anything other than OEM springs.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 2ToneEM1 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> how much of a drop is there?</TD></TR></TABLE>

I forget the exact number, but it's something like 1/2 to 1". Again, it's for OEM springs only.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 93egSLEEPER &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">i dont think you can run just a spring with konis... you will need the coil sleeve perch type for them to fit. </TD></TR></TABLE>

Yes, you can. It comes with stock spring perches (which will also work with aftermarket springs). GC coilovers come with their own perch that works with the C-clip that the stock perches mount to.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Tarmac Junkie &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">The adjustable sleeves are for ride height, and so you can corner weight it.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Sleeves on the coilovers. Not the adjustable mounts on the Konis.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 2ToneEM1 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Hmm, if the konis wont work with just springs is there another setup you can reccommend that will lower my car about another inch?

They will work. But just by buying the shocks, you won't be able to lower the car with springs. You will need a coilover setup.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 2ToneEM1 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">I think the sportlines are around a 1.6 inch drop, so im wanting around 2.5-3 inch
</TD></TR></TABLE>

To lower that much you will need GC coilovers with a very high springrate. THat's going to lead to a pretty uncomfortable ride. Otherwise you'll be bottoming out the shocks.

Koni's are a very high quality shock. You can lower your car with them just fine.
