Beaks SRK-EK / ITR rear swaybar question (searched? yes)
yes, i know this topic has been covered serveral times, and i have searched and read numerous archived topics...
anyway, i'm planning on doing this install on my Si in the next few days, and i just wanted to question my current setup to see if it's ready to accept the swaybar. my current setup is the ground control "special edition" with spring rates of 200F/180R i believe. yes i know they're low and all, but my car is used for daily driving, so i wasn't looking for anything extreme.
now after reading those archived posts about the swaybar bar install, will my subframe be ok with my current spring rates and the Beaks SRK?
all this is for a daily driver, no auto-x'ing involved. thanks

Re: Beaks SRK-EK / ITR rear swaybar question (SD_EM1)
You should be fine - I have Koni "Nuespeed" Yellows with Eibach Sportlines and I am good to go - rear sway is a little close exhaust system - but is does not hit it....

Re: Beaks SRK-EK / ITR rear swaybar question (93CivicSI)
thanks for the reply, but my real question is if my current spring rates will be ready to support the itr swaybar? i read in some older posts about having too soft of a spring rate will cause negative effects, and i just wanted to see if anyone had input on that.
btw, i did a little bit more digging around and came across this...
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=573911
somewhere along the middle-bottom, someone stated the following...
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by MattGP523 »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">
180.64.44 is metric for 7" long spring, 2.5 inch diameter, and 250 rate.
200.64.67 would be 8" long spring, 2.5 inch diameter, and 380 rate.
The metric-to-standard conversion is (length.diameter.rate) (/.254 /.254 x5.7) / divide, xmultiply</TD></TR></TABLE>
those numbers are almost the same number (if not the same) that are on my springs that came with the gc's. thus, would my actual spring rates be 380F/250R? thanks

Re: Beaks SRK-EK / ITR rear swaybar question (SD_EM1)
I am not trying to tell you what to do here. But i will say that experienced subframe tearout with a Beaks Kit on my 2000 Coupe. It was also a daily driver. I had Eibach Prokit with Tokico Blues. I know they may have been the reason why my subframe toreout. But if you car already has a 14mm rear bar on it then I don't thaink you are going to see a big improvement in the handling. It will probably be minimal and not really worth the chance of ripping your frame. This is just my .02.
