BC 3+ cams. Opinions for my set up, is it a good choice to go?
Experience and comments welcomed.
Guys im new here, and the thing is this:
i have a EK4, B16A2 engine, with the following:
-iceman CAI (k&N filter)
-DC sports header
-port and polished head
-mugen head gasket
-overbored throttle body
-AEM tru pulley kit (A/C, PS, Crankshaft)
-B&M FPR
-Excedy clutch
-Lightened flywheel
The thing is we usually have to import everything and is kind of expensive (taxes and import fees here are way to high), and a friend of me bought these and never installed this (he´s going for toda cams now), and he is selling me all the stuff for what he paid in USA, U$1250.00, and hes giving me credit (5 payments).
Buddy club spec III+ cams
Supertech valve springs
Skunk 2 retainers
Skunk 2 cam gears
OEM gasket kit
So the basic question is : Would it be a good setup? Will i have good gain in HP and performance? It is my daily driver, its 117,000kms on the odometer.
Experiences and comments would be great
Thanks.
Here a pic of the car.

get rid of the shitty dc header and buy something worth while.. they did a header comparison.. and even the stock itr header made 3 whp more than the dc

If you have pistons like the b16a2 or the jdm p30.... you can go BIG CAMS.... your safe..... but if you have pistons like CTR's or aftermarket All Motor piston's with a high dome with top dollar big cams expect a bent valve

1250 seems like a lot--- my exact setup of bc cams and supertech springs/retainers was only 750. And yes, get a better header

Thanks for the comments.
I know is a bit more expensive than there, but if you sum up the skunk 2 camgears and the OEM gasket kit, it about there.
The advantage is taht i can pay my fiend in 5 parts of 250 a month.

Yeah flip flop i have by B16A2 pistons.
And about the header, im probably changing it for a mugen, with the twin loop exhaust.

I'd have to say no (and I'm sure others will flame me). Why? I'll tell ya: That's head reinforcements, basically for higher revving capabilities. Obviously teh adjustable cam gears will help ya fine tune it perfectly, maybe getting an extra 5hp or so. The other stuff I wouldn't do since it's your daily driver. If it was a track car (be it autocross or drag) I'd recommend FOR it since you need to wind it out as much as possible (with a power band) in each gear and in autocross keep it in or near the redline (which obviously higher redline is better). For everyday driving, and for the price, I'd say it's NOT worth it. Though hey, if you got money to **** away, go for it. Definately your call in the end. Won't really help ya HP wise though, MAYBE a few extra HP, but it'd help you if you raced a lot.
