Baught a 92 HB, going rates on engines?
I just baught a 92 HB from a friend, and now it doesnt seem to want to run, . So I think I would rather swap a GSR or Type R into it, instead of fixing the POS engine, and then swaping a new one in there. Does anyone know what I should expect to pay for either the GSR or ITR engine plus installation. Also anyone know who can do this for me in the SC, GA, or FL area, someone mentioned The Acura and Honda Specialists in Atlanta, anyone know if they do a good job?

Expect anywhere from 3-3500 for a GSR motor, depending on the year. The B18C5 R motor will be significantly more, but it is definitely a far superior motor than a GSR and is worth the extra money if you have it to spend...

I only paid 1200 for the car , so I will more than likely go all out with the ITR engine

If you plan on going turbo don't get the ITR, since you'll have to change a significant amount of the parts over.

It is the CX model, and I consideren going turbo, would going with a turbo be better with the GSR motor?

yeah go with the gsr if you think that a turbo is in the future. the b18c5 is a good n/a engine but to much for f/i. save yourself the 2k and buy a turbo or even get a b16a and a good turbo kit for about the same price (maybe a little more) as a b18c1 swap. plus it would be faster

If I am considering a turbo GSR will I be wasting my money getting I/H, and also will i run into any problems installing any of these things. Also anyone know where I can find the engines, complete with everything?

Acura Honda speaclists are really good ask for Tom i was going to get a B18C from http://www.jd1.com but they sold out and i don't have enough time to order and install b4 i go to college.
engine $3000 (170 hp 10.6 comp)
install $970 (very clean)
tom has a type engine in a eg si and he says that the type r engine really isn't that much better and people always argue w/ him but he has one so whatever.

When you say $3000.00 is that for everything, like the tranny, ecu, axels, etc. or is that just the block?? Also if i can remember correctly someone on this board put an integra dash into a hatch back civic, i think it was a 92 HB if anyone has any information it will greatly help.
