Default Battery relocation issue

trying to put my battery in the trunk and its being a PITA. i used 2 gauge wire. starter wire and fuse box wire are connected to the 2 gauge and ran back into the trunk. alternator wire runs into the fuse box like normal. from everything ive seen that should work, but it doesnt currently(did before). it acts like its not getting a good enough connection somewhere but i dont see how its not. when the key is turned on it will prime but when you turn it to start it clicks and loses everything. car was running with it hooked up like this before but now its acting up. any ideas/thoughts/suggestions are appreciated
