Default Battery relocation

Hey guys I have a 93 hatch and I was wondering if there is a write up on the how to relocated my battery to back behind me in my hatch. I plan tracking the car and was wondering if this is allowed to do. I want to also do it to let up some weight in the front and to clean up my bay. Also I was wondering I have power steering as of now and if I plan to mainly use to the car for road racing/ autox would it be better to remove the power steering or leave it. Thanks guys in advance

I would check with the group(s) you are planning to run with and see what they allow as far as relocating batteries. As for the power steering I would leave it for the simple fact that driving on a road course for an extended period of time is draining in itself. Now if you add extra work by removing p/s you will just be wearing yourself out even more, my .02 cents

You will get used to not having power steering. not really hard at all when moving. to me it seems smoother when going around turns without PS and with it the steering wheel turns to easy.

You need to extend the wires connecting to the battery to the back of the car. You have to use the same gauge/size wire.
