Default Battery Probs?

Here is the deal, I am getting ready to sell my parents Miata. I go to start it....NOTHING, no power whatsoever. So I jump it with my car and as soon as the batteries are connected to one another you can hear the "open door" sound cuz I left it open. I get in the Miata and fire it up, no problem. I take it for a spin around the block and then let it sit for a while (maybe 15 minutes) then I shut if off and immediately try to turn it back on........NOTHING. Then I repeated the steps again and got the same results. So basically, as soon as it touches another battery it has full juice but then after that it's dead. New battery/alternator? This is similar to the time I bought a new battery and didn't take the plastic caps off (newb mistake) but the car ran a couple months ago fine.

I know this is the eg forum but this is where I always am and the people in here are the most helpful. If it bothers you that it's for a miata then pretend its for my del sol. Thanks in advance.

sounds to me like you need a battery, take it to an autozone, they will check the battery, and even sell ya one if it's dead....
