battery light on all the time?
hello,
i have looked through countless threads, but i could not find an answer. when i try to start my car, 1998 civic with a lsvtec, it will not crank over. the battery light stays on all the time when it is in ignition 2. i have ran a obd2 scanner and it just says failed. i am running and 2000si engine harness with a p2t ecu. i have also had the battery starter and alternator tested and they all came up great.
thanks a lot
bill!

Wow, I wish I could help more people on here but I just don't really know anything about swaps, and that seems to be what everyone does. Honda put a great engine in my car for me!

If the OBD scanner comes back with a "failed" result, that suggests you wired something up incorrectly. It only takes one misplaced wire to screw up a lot of things.
If you're confident in your wiring abilities, it might be a problem with the gauge cluster, but with the scanner issue I wouldn't bet on it.

what do you meen it will not crank over? does it spin and just not start or does it just click and nothing happens at all? also be a little more specific as to what you have done to the car so far
