battery disconnect wiring?
i did a search and found nothing, but i'm trying to install a 2 terminal battery disconnect switch. do i just brake the positive cable running from the alternator to the battery, or the starter to the battery? any info on how to wire it up (write ups, websites, diagrams) will help BIG TIME (planning to do this weekend)!
THANKS!

the terminals on the switch are too big for the wiring of my fuse box. i'v seen a thread on here before showing the wire layout, but like i said, when i did a search nothing came up.

what do you want this switch to accomplish? just keep the car from starting? or kill power to the car's electrical systems?

well, wouldnt that be the same thing? basically, if i put the key in the ignition i want the car completley dead, including starter whether it's running or before i start it.

Why dont you just cut the terminal off and get one that will work? Also if you want to cut the entire power to the car then yes the positive from the battery to the fuse block. Altho you have to remember your also going to lose all your memory setting in your radio and Ecu so your car may not run right when first starting up and youll have to program your radio EVERYTIME.
I recomend putting it on the power wire to the starter, now you can use the smaller wire on the starter and not cut the main one and accomplish the same thing, all that smaller wire does it power the relay for it to start.

If the switch is external and the battery is in the trunk, this option will not pass tech at the track.
If its just as a kill switch for anti-theft, then this option works.

If thats the case, why would you post the location of your switch?
I would relocate it. and delete the pics.

My battery is in the trunk, and my electrical kill switch in in the cab of the car (somewhere ). I hid it so I could use it as anti-theft if I have to leave my car for a long period of time, but that's not an everynight thing due to the loss of ecu memory and radio presets. My + wire goes from the switch to a distribution block where it splits up and goes to fuse box, starter, etc. When I kill the power, everything dies .

When I had my coupe with the H22, I had my battery mounted in the trunk in a Moroso box. I had the Moroso switch mounted behind the rear bumper cover.
This worked for me in 2 ways.
1) Switch was hidden, but I was still able to reach it if neccasary
2) This allowed me to run no rear cover as my switch had to be accessable by track personel.
Funny as ****, all others had to retain there rear covers, but I didnt have to.

they could still push start it, but that's the only way it'll crank unless the find the switch.
