Just put a new alternater in that i bought from an alternator shop that was tested right before it was put in.

As soon as i put it in the battery light came on. We checked the voltage with no load and under load and everything was fine, the battery was also just replaced.

My mechanic said the light would go off eventually.

I've been driving the car like this for 4 days with no problems (no dimming lights,stereo working good etc...)

what could be causing the light to stay on it is bugging me. What else should i check for?????


Also before i put the new alternator in my car died three times because of a wrong alternaor being used I had to recharge my battery each time.


Could this have f**ked up my battery.
