Barb fitting to the top right of oil filter on B16A? What is it?
Just as the titile says. I received my built B16A from importbuilders the other day. My old B16A2 had a plug in the hole where this one has a barb fitting. Looking inside it, it looks like it used to have water going through it. What did this thing go to? Do I have to reconnect it to something?

I don't think it was for a catchcan setup. It actually looks like it has deposits in it like water had ran through it.
If it was some kind of coolant line, where did it run to when it was in the JDM whatever the hell car? Anybody know where I can dig up a hose connection diagram? The USDM helms is worthless in this case.

Still have the PCV black box as you called it. It's down and to the right of the plug in question. Not shown in that pic because that was after I had ripped everything appart.

Come on. You guys were doing so good for a little while there.
Next is the intake and turbo manifolds. Then to doing these damn hoses. Hopefully I'll get a decent answer from you guys by then.

Re: (IslandSi)
it definately looks to be in the water jacket, i dont think its oil, the catch can/pcv "box" is further towards the distributor side, and lower....up for info...

Ok, done with everything except this little dilema. Upon closer inspection there appears to be TWO of these damn thing. Which leads me to belive that they used to be some sort of water supply to something. The weird thing about that theory is that they both seem to be coming out of the same area of the water jacket, which would give them equal pressure and result in no flow. So what gives guys? Any help? Anybody have a B16A out right now that can take a look for me?
Here's the pic I just took.

When it's your motor you're more than welcome to do so. I want to be on the safe side.
Thanks for the replies from everybody else so far. Gonna go get some plugs to put in there and then drop this bad mamma jamma back in.
Got my ECU today (thanks Atheist), so we'll see what happens.
