BAR ref...failed. :) Timing/Wrong hoses/Manifold too new to ref/bad plugs
Dammit. LoL
Oh well, I get the second test for free anyway. Other than the cost to take time off of work. (but hey thats nice sometimes right!?!)
Okay, First off, My ignition timing is at 18 BTDC and needs to be at 12
Secondly, I'm suddenly having horrible hesitation in the midrange (thinking plugs)
Third, when AEM borrowed the car to make the CAI, they replaced the almost too short PCV hose with a proper length HEATER hose.....refs don't like that.
Finally, I failed in all three major levels of smog:
CO pass = < .57 measured = .62
HC pass = < 66 measured = 138
NO pass = < 487 measured = 2610 (thinking plugs missfired)
LoL....so I'm ordering a Carsound 2.5" High flow cat to replace the stock cat with 116,000 miles on it (hello more horsepower)
Aslo thinking that the hesitation might be why he dyno'd less horsepower at AEM than Edelbrock.
<---should have changed plugs last night.
EDIT: Also forgot the fact that I have the Edelbrock manifold and the refs have never seen it and they claim it needs a EO# although Edlebrock considers it a factory replacement.

97 Civic EX...under hood sticker says stock Timing should be 12 Degrees +/- 2 degrees.
Edelbrock gave me their intake manifold as long as I loaned the car to AEM so that AEM could design a CAI for the new manifold since the TB is in a different location

passed with 2 1/4 carsound cat.. shoot the only reason I failed was due to my car being obd-2.. and my motor being obd-1 wiring =P but numbers were super LOW

if your getting a new cat....might as well pop in a new o2 sensor...just for safe measure...but im pretty positive the cat will cure everything...
