Did you do an engine swap? It doesn't look like it from the paperwork. Fill the tank with 91 gas drive around atleast a tank full of this and this should help clean out the tank. At least use 91 until you pass. Maybe your timing is too high. Might want to check that. Good luck.

Looks like you failed on NOx. High NOx is caused by high cylinder temperatures. Check your timing. How old is your cat? Might be leaning out?

The results show that you failed the ignition timing section, double check the timing and make sure its not over advanced.
Does your car not have an EGR on it?

Wow come on people egr's on automatics only. Wow thats a new one. Well to let you know It doesnt matter what the tranny is some cars are equipped with one and some aren't. But in an short story this is what an egr valve does. It is a valve that opens and closes to let the burned exhaust back in to intake stream to be reburned again in return this lowers the combustion temperature and with lower combustion temps comes lower NOx out put. You could also try retarding ur timing that also helps.

dr. garagetuner, good job on describing the egr and explaining it.. but if the car is a 95 civic then they do not come equip with a egr.. i know, cause mine does not have one.. i've checked&searched already before..
try changing out the thermostat..!??! ever think that maybe the universal cat may be badd and defect from factory.?!!?
my civic has never passed smog in the past five years but this year i did pass!... don't ask me how i got by the years, lols hahaa.. cause i just did.. never paid anyone any $$ to get mine passed.. im just amazing surprise but i did.. my numbers were off the chart 2000+...
the dUDe(old guy) who smoged my car says that theres a trick on smogging hondaS period!!.. they must be reved up for awhile and be really, REALLY! hott before smogging.. thats what he did to mine..
oh yEAh!!.. also!! if your car is high on nox or so.. reminder!! try smogging the car first thing in the morning cause thats the best for a car with high nox!.. also if i remember right!.. do not use 91 octane when smogging.. but use 87.. i read that somewhere and had alot of talks on that octane usage..
