Default banging the cat

Help, ever since I installed a short shifter the thing hits exhaust pipe and its driving me nuts... it vibrates when idel... Is there anything I can place between the two... I tried a sock to see where the noise was coming from and it burst into flames.... lol I need something not flamable

lol.... the sock thing is awesome...

ditch the short shifter.... Honda trannies don't like them anyway.

I was thinking about it.. it would just be a pain in the ***.... a none flamable sock would be the easy answer.. just havent found one yet and im starting to run out of underwear...

come to think of it. I took on of the exhaust hangs off.. Some of the rattle might be coming from there but my shifters still banging....

If your shifter's hitting your catalytic converter try taking the heat shield off-this gives it some clearance. If it's still hiting you may have the wrong shifter for your car.
BTW, I've had Neuspeed shifters in every one of my Honda's and never had any problems.

take to a muffler shop and have them extend the hanger on your exaust it cost like ten bucks and theres no more rattling or fires.
