Default bang bang auto.

yeah i drive auto haha but i do have a mugen chip so i still have a nice sleeper but there is a problem. when i go faster than 20mph and come to a hault or stop at a stop sign the car bangs. Do you think my tranny is shot in 1st-2nd gear or do i need a need a brand new tranny all together? p.s. It did bang before and after I installed the mugen p28 chip.

hmmmm, whats the condition of your engine mounts?
Are you downshifting to D3,2 or 1? Or are you leaving it in D4? If you are leaving it in D4 and when slowing down the rpms go up and then it bangs, that sounds like the tranny is having problems, there should be just a slight increase of revs. I can down shift my auto at around 3k rpm to gear 2 and other than the engine revs slowing down the car, there is no bang.
I beat the hell out of my auto-tranny(hoping to kill it), yet it still runs fine.

Im assuming you have a D16Z6, right? Where did you get the P28 Mugen chip?

I get the bang once in a while too, happens on crappy roads more often than not. I have a feeling that there is something blocking some part of the fluid flow, but it's not a very strong thing blocking it, so it "pops' out. Sounds logical, but I could be completely wrong.
