ball joints
ok guys this is just a general question so no specifics when i go to tighten the nut on the ball joint it just spins the whole thing how do i keep this from happening so i can tighten the nut thanks

I never figured out how....
If its spinning I just assume you need a new ball joint, I always replace them when this happens...
EDIT: Is the ball joint or nut stripped/messed up threads? Is that why its not going on, cause thats happened to me before.

If its the upper ball joint block up the upper control arm with some 2x4 and jack under the lower control arm to push the ball joint taper into the knuckle, tighten the nut, remove jack and 2x4. Same idea for the lower ball joint as well.

thanks guys i was in a hurry to get it done i have work and my axle was about to blow on me all i did to get it to work was put a jack under the lower control arm until i had the whole weight of the front end being lifted from that point but why it wont thread right i have no clue but thanks anyways
