thats the part that physically pushes on your clutch when you step on the clutch. Shoulda been inspected at the same time you changed the clutch, if a shop did it, tell them to open it back up and isntall one, if it was you... be smart man...

Yeah but it's not worth it to risk it. Though it usually doesn't matter either way. Buy a whole clutch kit, clutch, flywheel, and throwout bearing. But if you just put the new clutch in, that'd be useless, so new throut bearing ASAP = .

If it's a D series tranny, I have a million dollars that say it's the input shaft bearing. And for the 3rd gear grind, that doesn't have anything to do with the clutch!

Whining noise as you're accelerating. I have a bad one in my Si. And it's been that way for about 6 months.

All it's going todo is make a noise. I would not over look it. If you are going to auto-cross or drag your car on the weekends. I would get replaced now!

good example.

No dirt cannot get into the tranny cuz you drive through puddles, if your tranny was taht f*cked, you would know, since ur would be driving.

Also as stated, check your inout shaft pilot bearing. also the input shaft, that will make it wobble in the tranny, making gear selection more difficult, and could lead to catstrophic tranny failure, like gear teeth (not syncros) getting fcked, saw it on an F550 tranny. Ouchies. a $10 bearing can cost ya $400+ for a used tranny if u dont get that **** done bro.
