bad starter?
ok so in the searches i came across, everyone gives examples of there starters an everyones clicks so they get the ole' "battery, alternator" thing.. well mine doesnt click or anything, but i can pop the clutch to get it started.. "good thing i live on a slanted driveway"... but yeah i turn the key an all the lights stay on, no dimming anywhere, could this be starter?? it doesnt turn or click or nothing, just straight nothing...

so i just put brand new starter in, an same thing i turn the key an nothing happens... i popped the clutch an unplugged the battery, car stayed on an remained normal at idle.. i checked the alternator an its getting the right volts an so is the battery.... what im wondering is, what engages the clutch..??

Could be the power wire running to the starter, could be the signal wire running to the starter, could be the switch on top of your clutch pedal(which wont allow the starter to crank, unless the pedal is depressed).
These are all things that should be checked before paying for a new starter.
