Default a bad jdm d15b??

i drive a 97 ek hatch and have a obd1 jdm d15b vtec swap. right now its throwin a O2 sensor CEL and it has trouble idling sometimes. my motor feels fine for daily drive but it doesnt pull anywhere near like when i first swapped it in. i cant even take EX coupes now. but im thinkin if its even worth fixing this motor or should i jus let it be and save up for a new motor?d16y8?

What ecu are you running? If your running a p2p then its looking for the 2nd o2 sensor. If your running an obd1 ecu then try replacing your o2 sensor and clearing your codes.

Are you running an o2 sensor? If not then run one, if you are then replace it.

i do have one.. but it keeps on throwin this cel after every like 3 months.. if i replace it, its goin be like my 4th time replacin it.. i put more money into fixin this motor than it costs.. so i was jus wonderin if its still worth it? or should i might as well save up for a new motor

yeah not having one can damage it. but if you have a chipped ecu. then it should have been chipped not to read o2. since it's intermittently that your 02 is throwing codes you might want to check the circuit for any opens short to grounds etc.
