I have never changed a fuel filter on a honda and I have a couple honda's with 100,000-150,000 miles with a stock fuel filter still running like new!

I may be wrong but lower than normal gas milage and Dirty spark plugs. And if you run your gas till the light comes on i would suggest changing it cuz you get all the dirty crap from the bottom.
I changed mine and my car felt better and got a lil better gas milage.

it can cause things ranging from starting problems to horrible performance in general. just imagine what not getting enough fuel can cause.
if you cant remember or dont know the last time it was changed its time to do it.
as for 100,000+ miles on one, sure it will make it but no ******* way it runs like new. its just like an air filter just dosent get dirty as fast. my friends 94 integra GSR, high 90k mile range, was running mid 15's. after a fuel filter change he cracked a 14.9 with everything else the same.

Re: Bad fuel Filter cause rough idle? (Kamin)
sounds good, i think i am gonna change mine out in a couple of days, im having bogging problems and other than a 23 cel throwing (knock)isnt wired up) i would not think the cel would have caused this much detriment to performance. It bogs at low rpms (0-2.5k) then surges after that and acts normal. Also does anyone have an idea because when im in the lower rpms, i can hear a liquidy sound coming from my engine, it sounds like something is leaky but i changed out my injectors and it still does this, btw im on 12:1 vortech for my fmu

That has to do with driver not a fuel filter going from mid 15's to 14.9
