I bought 3 months ago a 99 civic lx sedan with a ls swap. at fist it ran fine then it started to what it seemed to be running rich and started kinda killing the engine. i ended up taking it to garage where they ran the codes and they said it came back as a bad computer. I just want to hear some input as of could this be true.

It was running like a cylinder wasnt fireing. I then changed the plugs and wires. but that didnt help

miss firing??? maybe its just the sparkplugs..
or the sparkplug wires...

is your idle messed up...

let it idle....

take the plugs of the sparkplug, one by one...
if you take one off, your idle should go down like its gonna die....

if you take one off and it doesnt do anything..
thats the one your having problem with...

check the sparkplugs and the cables...swap it out see if you see any difference...

have you tried compression check....see if you got leak..

i had one before...and when we opened it...the valve for that cylinder was melted..
