It's spelled "idle". "Ideal" is a completely different word.
Could the battery be the culprit? Yeah, sure could. Maybe you should swap it out with a known good battery and see if you display the same symptoms. If so, you can cross that off your list of things to check.

Maybe, sooner or later...
Got a new battery, it's a lot better but it still getting real low and ideling hard. Getting new plugs tonight hopefully. Anything else it could be?
