Default Back from Palmdale...

Best time I got was 15.0 @ 92MPH with a 2.2 60ft time. Setup is 92 hatch w/ gsr motor (intake/exhaust). Tires: 13'' vx wheels w/ bald stock tires. I'm still surprised I was able to pull off a 2.2 60ft. Spin like crazy when I shift into 2nd, as well as mad wheel hop. I think it's time to upgrade the wheel/tire combo. What do you guys recommend? What times do you think I'll be pulling off at a "good" track?

I really only need two wheels simply when I want to race.

if for drag only , get 2 steelies and slap some m/t slicks 14x20x8, works wonderful or you can use the rims from miata (which there lighter) they just a need a little mod to fit the car perfect , no bid deal doh

That sounds good...but for now...i wanna see what I can do on street tires. Once I think I've pushed the limit on street legal rubber...then I'll start on slicks.

really? wow.....is palmdale that bad? Dont mean it in a bad way but your hatch with a gsr should be running better times, maybe its just the elevation and heat

I can't really say how BAD palmdale is because I haven't been to any other track...so I don't know what times I'd pull somewhere else. I'll try to give you an idea by other times I've seen:

CRX w/b16: 15.9
92 hatch w/gsr i/h/e: 15.7
2000 SI: mid-high 16s
Never neon: 18s

I raced some dude a couple of times....he had a vx like me, with gsr motor, intake, jdm dc header, exhaust, better tires/suspension dialed...15.0-15.4.

at pamdale do to the elevation and the track
you can knock easy about 1/2 a second.
also if you compared to other tracks , yes pamdale sucks . but is good for practice and to also see your improvements
