Default back on H-T w/ a new ek project (Now W/ Pics)

hello its been a while i was formerly 95delsosi. anyways friday i baught a 97 hatch for $4500 already has

b16a2
Si guage cluster
type r shift boot
some kinda 17 inch wheels
tein springs
rear brake swap
integra front and rear seat including floor mats
carbon fiber hood
some sort of top wing (like a duck bill)
type r front grill

it appears that someone wrecked an SI baught this hatch swapped it all over. It needs a little TLC to bring it back to looking good again, needs a lil body work nothing big and a new paint job. Ill get pics up asap.

Now here is my question, all the suspension appears to have been either integra or SI because even the front rotors are bigger than stock i stopped and looked at one in the parking lot at walmart. neways they feel spongy and just dont stop like i think they should, my del sol si's 4wheel brakes worked alot better. the pads are near new i bled the lines today, then i was looking at the "distrobution block" (cant remember its name) on the brake booster and all i can see are 2 lines coming out of it. ive been out the sceen a bit and never done brake swap dont you need to upgrade that too? i do not have a camera available but if someone could just post me a pic of what it is suppose to look like with a rear brake swap it would be greatly appreciated.

He probably didnt upgrade the brake booster and master cylinder. Go out and find a larger one...one from an EX/SI (96-00) or better yet a 1" from an ITR. And then the prop valve from the 99-00 Si. That will fix your brake problem.

the prop valve on the 96-00 hatchbacks are the same as the 99-00 SI so you don't need to change that part.

Ok pics you guys want then pics you get. They are not the best its gettin dark but i found a camera to use so I am not complaining too much. As you will see pretty much just needs a little TLC and and she will be pretty once again. Anyways on to what you want to see. There is a pic of the brake booster and prop valve, someone let me know if it looks like the right prop valve and booster for the 4 wheel discs.

OK there she is... now start the critisizin (good or bad)... i already have some plans for it.. main things on the list now are CF mugen style lip, CF duckbill, 16 inch bronze Work emotion's, a new type r grill.. get the minor bodywork done strip it down completly and repaint it the type r yellow again (whatever the color's name is... been out the loop for a while).. then its off to suspension... after that im not exactly sure what direction i want to go in as far as the motor.. the lil B16 will do for now... but its either gonna be b20 (w/ alot of boost) or k24 monster not quite sure... depends on the market when the time comes i guess.

Yea when i saw it from the road at the car lot I had to stop and look at it and when i did i was VERY suprised at what they were asking for it.. they want $5k.. i told them $4500 and they took it.. it was on some redneck owned lot they had no clue what they had.. I could not pass it up I have always wanted a hatchie and with the good start this one had and the price i couldnt pass on it.

From my knowing you do have to change the proportionate Valve (if that's how you spell it) to the 2000 Si or even Integra.

Yes yo do need the prop valve unless your hatch is a 99-00 in which the prop valves in those are exactly the same as the SI ones

and what others had suggested.... use both the MC and proportioning valve if they aren't original... that and some SS braided lines...

96-00 hatches have the same prop valve ,, its the same as the 99-00Si and unless ur doing alot of autocrossing i wouldn't worry about changing the master cylinder, just a waste of time and money imo

I forgot about the prop valves, which is true. However, if you read his first post he said the brake pedal was mushy and he bled the brakes so that wasn't the problem. The upgraded (much larger front brakes, as well as rear discs) brakes are taking to much out of the current/stock Master cylinder and brake booster.

prop valve is exacly the same on the 96-00 hatches. do a search. 40/40. no need to swap that out. its the same part number at honda.
