Back from the Dead
Some of you might remember me from the story I posted about what happend to my 1990 Honda Civic after the tow truck driver smashed my axle, tie rod, bumper etc etc. I was out of the Honda loop for awhile till I could pick up another one. I was at a garage seeing a family member when I spotted a EG so I figured why not asked the price. It was 1200$ for a 93 Civic HB CX so needless to say I am back in the game and have a few projects in mind for it
Glad to be back.

He sure will. Only if it was a coupe, then he'd enjoy it more.

heh, I like the HB better then the coupe due to it's smaller. Once my credit card is paid off the motor is coming out as I find it too slow for it's own good. SIR's are pretty cheap these days so it seems like the best bet would be to drop one in.

Sounds like a good plan. Any other plans for it? What are you wanting to do for suspension? Interior? Other engine modifications? Please, tell us more.

Suspension is a tough call, I can't drop it much as I live in Quebec which has more bumps and pot holes then anywhere in the world.
Interior will be gutted and roll cage installed (scored a deal for a certified roll cage).
Engine modifications, I am not down with the big fart can's so you know thats out the question. I want to turbo the SIR next summer so only time will tell.
I can't drive a 100hp car no more my truck has more power then my car lol.

Tony owns a shop called ABD Autosport, Very well known for Honda wiring. Does amazing work. His shop is in Vaudreuil-Dorion it's about 45 minutes from Ottawa depending on how you drive.

Well, we all need to start somewhere. I'm running Ground Control coilovers with Tokico Illumina shocks, it's a great ride even when I'm dumped. I just installed my Megan Drift Spec exhaust, it is the coffee can style. I think it looks great and sounds even better. Just my $.02.

Surprisingly that's how mine is. Sure, you notice that it's not stock when your on the gas. But it definitely lets out a nice roar at about 3500-4000ish. Have you looked at the ApexI WS2 exhaust? Maybe the RS-R ExMag system? Those are some quality systems that have a stock look.

What exactly do you mean by 'custom' exhaust? The exhaust I had before my Drift Spec was a 2.5" straigh pipe from my cat to my ApexI N1 muffler. Thing sounded great until I hit anything of 5000, then it got raspy and horrible.

Custom as in he makes the bends himself etc, Then pick up a high flow cat, muffler and weld everything else.
I rather pay a friend who is good at what he does then pay a company XXX amount for the same thing.

Re: (Jeff)
well i had a custom exhaust made for the same price as a performance catback (400 total) but i didnt get mandrel bends (even thogh the guy promiced it would be) and it wasnt S/S (which i knew) all-in-all i wish i would have gone catback rather then cutom piping + magnaflow

If you want something nice that's quiet til higher RPM, get Apexi WS2 for your car.
It's VERY good exhaust, good HP gains, very subtle, no huge muffler (Looks like a stock muffler with a shiny tip, but not chrome shiny, more like shiny aluminum cast) and best of all, CARB LEGAL!
Some guy here on H-T is selling the full exhaust for 400 shipped in the states, not sure about Canada, but it's a great system. Next on my list of things to get.

Re: Back from the Dead (Jeff)
I have had a lot of my friends get custom exhaust on their cars (not just Hondas), they've never been satisified with them. I'm not saying you won't be, but I would arleast explore your options before jumping into something.
