B21A1 Engine Swap
I was wondering if anyone out there ever took a motor out of a 90 Prelude. becouse i want to know if there is a engine mount kit available for the 97 Del Sol and also what kind of axels are suggested for this swap. and does anyone know if a GSR trans would bolt up or not.

Re: B21A1 Engine Swap (chidelsol)
they made that motor for less than 3 years for a reason.
WORST rod/stroke ever........... plus I'm quite sure that is does not share anything with the new B-series.

Nope, that motor sucks.
Plus, you can't (legally) put an older engine in a newer chassis.......good luck getting inspection if you do.
Go with a B or H series swap. If $$ is an issue, go SOHC VTEC for now, they can be picked up for a song. What model is your del Sol? You have a 2 in 3 chance it already has a VTEC engine!!

Re: B21A1 Engine Swap (Doctor CorteZ)
like the doctor just said...
that is the absolute worst engine honda ever made.
no b.s.
I had to swap a head on one of those one time and i would rather chew glass and rusty nails before ever even being in the same garage as that motor again.

Re: B21A1 Engine Swap (mclarenhonda)
whys the b21a1 a bad engine??
I assumed it was because of the really long stroke of the motor. But I looked it up:
Bore= ~94 mm, Stroke= ~79mm
